During the first 18 months of your employment, your work and training location will be on a rotational offshore / on‑off shift basis. You will be required to perform scheduled work and participate in training assignments both domestically and overseas, often in challenging working and training environments. This period is designed to equip you with the technical, operational, and safety competencies essential for the role. Upon completion of the training program, your standard work location will be assigned to the Offshore Fengmiao 1 O&M site at Taichung Port, where you will work under rotational shifts and the direct supervision of the Service Manager.
Job Responsibility
Organize, plan, and prepare all offshore daily activities during your own shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and seamless execution of operations across the offshore wind farm
Direct and coordinate teams of technicians and wind turbine specialists to carry out a full scope of offshore activities, including operational and maintenance work, scheduled service tasks and statutory inspections, unscheduled services, execution of turbine upgrades, and support for Special Projects
Manage and coordinate onshore O&M site activities and offshore wind turbine service operations based on Service Operations Vessel
Monitor wind turbines conditions remotely on SCADA, following Condition Monitoring Systems closely
Plan service tasks daily, issue and review Work Package Documents and ensure each team understands the work scope and relevant risks assessments are legated
Confirm availability of tools, materials, spare parts to be utilized daily
Perform daily Toolbox Talk with service teams and Employer Operations and Marine Teams
Ensure service technicians complete service reports, technical reports, time sheets, material consumption timely to ensure service orders closed timely
Provide technicians offshore technical support during scheduled service and unscheduled services
Prepare vessel Sail Out Crew Transfer Plans and align offshore transfers with Employer operations and marine team
Monitor rolling weather forecasts daily basis and evaluate high wind, high waves, lightning risks and updating reports to service teams and Employer operations and marine teams
Create service work orders in SAP and update Planning trackers daily
Perform Daily Customer meetings relating to Operational conditions and readiness of each wind turbine
Submit Daily Reports and wind turbine down time allocation timely
Maintain and update planning board daily together with Technical Planner
Assist the implementation of new procedures / processes
Approve hours of technicians
Plan annual scheduled service, trouble shooting, unscheduled services, priority work together with technical planner
Provide input to Monthly Customer Report
Ensure implementation of upgrades and non-conformities are executed, properly reported and closed timely
Support Site Manager and Service Manager to ensure contractual compliance and high customer satisfaction
Comply with Vestas' Health and Safety Management Safe Way of Working
Manage closely and ensure all WTSR and ENSR safe ways of working are implemented for each task in accordance with Approved Written Procedures
Ensure service technicians professional development training and qualifications are updated and service technicians are skilled up and next level Panels by Authorized Engineer is requested
Requirements
Possessing an electrical or mechanical degree from an accredited technical school, college, or university, or an individual who brings equivalent practical experience gained through work as a service technician, service engineer, or within service management
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Business‑level proficiency in Taiwanese Mandarin is recommended
Experience working in a planning role, demonstrating effective coordination and follow‑through capabilities
Solid understanding of general safety principles and demonstrated ability to promote safety awareness across teams
Organized and self‑directed individual with well‑developed organizational and time‑management skills, capable of managing their own workload and delivering to deadlines
Willing to take on varied tasks, consistent in delivery, technically skilled, and actively supports colleagues, fully supporting the Service Manager in daily operations
Proficient with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP
Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across multiple sites and stakeholder groups
Able to manage competing priorities in an environment
Demonstrated ability to positively lead and guide others, promoting a collaborative "One Team Vestas" spirit
Capable of supporting service technicians from culturally diverse backgrounds, promoting safe work practices and contributing to their professional development
