We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Supervisor to join a leading Tier 1 specialist contractor for a major infrastructure project in Northumberland. Our client is a premier name in civil engineering and reinforced concrete structures, known for delivering high-spec projects across the UK. This role involves overseeing critical groundworks and structural elements within a high-security environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily site activities, ensuring groundworks, drainage, and concrete pours are completed to strict technical specifications
  • Enforce rigorous safety standards and ensure all personnel adhere to site-specific security mandates and RAMS
  • Supervise direct labor and sub-contractors, delivering daily inductions and toolbox talks
  • Coordinate the movement of plant, materials, and tools in compliance with the stringent security protocols of a live secure facility
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality checklists

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a supervisory role within civil engineering or heavy groundworks
  • SSSTS or SMSTS (Essential)
  • CSCS Gold/Black Card
  • NVQ Level 3
  • You must be able to pass enhanced security clearance and background checks
  • A clean criminal record is essential for this location
  • Ability to read drawings, manage levels, and oversee complex RC works
