Job Description:

The Client: Our client, a Main Contractor and Developer expanded into the utilities sector in 2024, becoming an NERS-accredited ICP and WIRS accredited (SLP). They now manage connections for both their own developments and external clients, delivering high standards across residential and commercial projects. Role Overview: We are now partnering with them to recruit an experienced Site Manager/Site Supervisor. In this role, you’ll serve as the vital link between project delivery teams and on-site utility operations-ensuring each site is safe, well-prepared, and operating smoothly.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee multi-utility works (electric and water) ensuring site readiness and correct materials are on-site
  • Interpret site drawings and scopes of work to deliver efficient and compliant installations
  • Supervise subcontractors and direct teams on electrical (up to 11kV) and small to medium water connections
  • Manage permits, audits, site documentation, and ensure accurate reporting to the Project Manager
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture aligned with CDM and NRSWA standards
  • Prepare job packs, ensure the team has proper tools, PPE, and manage logistical needs
  • Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-construction site surveys

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing utility infrastructure works
  • NRSWA certification and a clear understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Health & Safety credentials including SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid
  • A full UK driving licence is required

Nice to have:

  • Background in managing high-voltage cable, substation, or multi-utility projects
  • Familiarity with NRSWA, CDM Regulations, and Health & Safety compliance
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable), SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid, Manual Handling
  • Excellent IT, organisational, and communication skills
  • Leadership capability to manage on-site teams and drive quality delivery
