Job Description:

Site Services Labourer position responsible for supporting the overall upkeep and cleanliness of all surface areas and infrastructure supporting the MBO project site. The Site Services Labourer will assist with day-to-day tasks to ensure a safe, efficient operation of the site roads, waste, water, concentrator, maintenance facilities and camp.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform daily inspections of camp facilities, roads, concentrator areas, and site infrastructure, report issues to the Site Services Supervisor
  • Monitor water meters, fuel, and propane levels
  • communicate reordering needs
  • Fuel, lubricate and provide minor maintenance on site auxiliary equipment such as generators, light plants, trailers, etc.
  • Record water usage daily and fill water tanks daily
  • Check lagoon daily and report issues to Site Services Supervisor
  • Collect and dispose of waste
  • support waste management processes
  • Fuel site equipment and company vehicles as required
  • Collect garbage from designated locations, transport to the main disposal site, and assist with organizing removal when required
  • Maintain parking areas and walkways according to seasonal needs (snow removal in winter, upkeep during summer months)
  • Shovel snow and keep doorways and walkways clear during snowfalls
  • Support general housekeeping by removing hazards such as ice, debris, and garbage
  • Refill water stations and maintain camp supplies
  • Assist with transporting personnel, materials, and equipment
  • Support camp and warehouse operations, including loading/unloading deliveries
  • Maintain an acceptable inventory of supplies in camp and monitor basic supply levels (such as cleaning or general use items)
  • Support in loading and offloading of materials to the warehouse
  • Provide assistance to tradespeople such as carpenters, welders and plumbers
  • Assist in confined space activities for maintenance work
  • Provide general assistance to the Site Services Supervisor and other team members as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Previous camp or remote site experience is an asset
  • Strong work ethic, safety mindset, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable performing physical labour in varying weather conditions
  • Adaptability to remote camp living
