Job Description

Manage all quantity surveying activities for Early Infrastructure Works (EIW) and Network Pipelines (NWP), ensuring accurate measurement and valuation of works.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage all quantity surveying activities for Early Infrastructure Works (EIW) and Network Pipelines (NWP), ensuring accurate measurement and valuation of works
  • Provide cost management support, including estimation, budgeting, and cost control, to maintain financial oversight of site operations
  • Collaborate with contractors and site teams to verify quantities and costs, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and project requirements
  • Support project management by providing timely and accurate cost reports and financial forecasts
  • Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture by ensuring that all quantity surveying activities are performed safely and in compliance with the company’s HSE standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify completed works against submitted quantities
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of all measurements, valuations, and variations
  • Verify and approve contractors’ interim and final payment applications
  • Monitor and report on cost variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain budget adherence
  • Support the preparation and negotiation of claims, variations, and change orders
  • Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets for ongoing and future site activities
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including cost reports, bills of quantities (BOQs), and payment records
  • Provide support in the development of lessons learned for cost management and control

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years in quantity surveying roles, preferably in Oil and Gas projects
  • At least 3 years managing quantity surveying activities in large-scale infrastructure or pipeline projects
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques and cost management tools
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing BOQs, cost estimates, and payment records
  • Familiarity with contractual terms and conditions related to construction projects
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
