Job Description

We are seeking a Site Merchandising Manager to be a core driver of our client's e-commerce experience. This is a strategic position for someone who understands the intersection of MarTech, data logic, and marketplace dynamics. You will be instrumental in migrating a large SKU catalog from internal tools to a third-party Product Information Management (PIM) platform. Your goal will be to drastically reduce time-to-market for new products and help scale annual SKU publishing and become the SME for system enhancements moving forward.

Job Responsibility

  • Departmental Leadership: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing merchandising team, providing the vision and operational playbooks to ensure scalable growth
  • PIM Strategy & Governance: Lead the transition from legacy/homegrown tools to a third-party PIM
  • establish the business logic, taxonomy, and validation rules to ensure enterprise-wide data integrity
  • Operational Scaling & Catalog Expansion: Drive the pace of product publishing to drastically reduce lead times from months to weeks and individual updates to 3 days or less
  • Global Workflow Management: Oversee and optimize partnerships with offshore teams (e.g., India) to manage high-volume content updates, providing guidance on complex data and enforcing rigorous QA standards
  • Strategic Merchandising & Marketplace UX: Use category performance, conversion, and 'shelf space' data to optimize product placement, navigation, and filtering
  • ensure dental professionals can find supplies with ease
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Enterprise Leadership to align merchandising with revenue goals, improve SEO/search relevance, and ensure flawless promotional execution
  • Supply Partner (Vendor) Relations: Represent the company in communications with vendors to enforce business standards and enable catalog optimization that drives higher sales and better outcomes

Requirements

  • 7 years in Site Merchandising, specifically within a B2B Marketplace or high-SKU E-commerce environment
  • Proven experience working with a Product Information Management (PIM) platform (Salsify, Akeneo, Plytix, or similar)
  • Experience navigating system migrations or digital transformations
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • this role will manage a team of 6 site merchandisers, both on and offshore
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn raw product data into strategic merchandising decisions
  • Understanding of multi-vendor environments where price comparison and search accuracy are the primary drivers of customer value
  • You are a 'self-starter' who enjoys building processes rather than just following them
  • Ability to work effectively with remote/offshore teams and articulate recommendations to leadership
