Job Description:

We are looking for highly motivated and disciplined Site Managers to lead night and weekend shifts across a series of high-profile hospital refurbishment projects. This is a critical role that requires a professional capable of managing complex works. Managing refurbishments in an active hospital environment requires a unique touch. You will be responsible for overseeing high-impact works that must be completed outside of standard clinical hours to minimize disruption to patient care and hospital operations. Shift Pattern: Consistent night shifts and/or weekend blocks. Sector: Healthcare / Clinical Refurbishment. Focus: Structural alterations, service upgrades, and fast-track internal fit-outs. Location: Newcastle Rates: Negotiable (CIS)

Job Responsibility:

  • Take full responsibility for the site during night and weekend windows, ensuring all scheduled works are completed before the hand-back to clinical staff each morning
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams (MEP, drylining, flooring) to ensure high-speed, high-quality delivery
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards, including the management of permits to work, dust suppression, and noise control protocols
  • Act as the primary point of contact for hospital estates teams and security during your shift
  • Provide detailed handover notes for the daytime management team to ensure seamless project continuity

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Site Manager on Healthcare/NHS projects is essential
  • Valid SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and CSCS (Black or Gold card)
  • Strong understanding of HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), infection control (ICRA), and fire safety in a clinical setting
