Randstad has partnered with an award winning commercial builder to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of institutional, government, and community projects. Operating across Melbourne's western suburbs, this role is designed for a technical expert who excels in structured environments and possesses a dedicated focus on safety and delivery excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Direct all on-site activities from inception to completion, ensuring seamless project execution
  • Lead and supervise diverse trades and site personnel to maintain high performance and accountability
  • Uphold rigorous OH&S standards and ensure all government-mandated quality requirements are met
  • Drive construction schedules, proactively resolve site-based issues, and ensure project milestones are achieved within budget
  • Act as a primary point of contact for consultants, inspectors, and project stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Site Manager within the institutional or government sectors in Victoria
  • Carpentry background
  • Willing, hardworking attitude with a long term growth mindset
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction programming, budget management, and multi-priority workflows
  • Relevant trade background or tertiary qualification in Construction Management
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a solutions-oriented, autonomous work ethic

  • Establish and check reporting for Head Office and, according to the Project Manager’s directives, to Client
  • Organize any valuable action to prevent interruptions to erection activities, to reduce delays in work schedule, and bring costs back to budget levels
  • Prepare the Site final report
