Job Description:

A leading contractor in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in the South East. The client is entering a key mobilisation phase and requires a strong site leader to manage day to day activities, maintain structure, and support the wider delivery team through a fast-paced programme.

Job Responsibility:

Lead daily site activities and coordinate subcontractors and on-site delivery teams
Manage site setup, logistics and sequencing of works
Maintain oversight of HSE, quality, and programme alignment
Report directly to the project’s senior leadership and support interface with engineering and commissioning teams
Ensure structured documentation, issue tracking, and compliance with project standards
Drive progress and maintain discipline across all site operations

Requirements:

Prior experience as a Site Manager on BESS, Solar PV, HV or LV infrastructure projects
Strong organisational and coordination skills on multi-discipline construction sites
Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high delivery standards
Comfortable working in a high-tempo environment with shifting programme priorities
Strong communication and reporting skills
