Job Description

This is a Site Manager role for a fast-scaling food-tech business entering a major new chapter of growth. The business is preparing a new production site for launch and is looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day operations while building the structure, rhythm, and performance culture that will define the future of the site – and company. The role gives you the chance to step into a highly visible leadership position with real influence.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of day-to-day operations
  • Build the structure, rhythm, and performance culture
  • Create clarity, pace, and accountability on the ground
  • Lead from the front, bring people together, and turn operational plans into reality
  • Hire and develop the onsite team
  • Establish the right operating standards
  • Make sure the facility is ready to perform at a high level as production ramps up
  • Work closely with engineering, maintenance, QA/QC, supply chain, and senior leadership to make sure the site is fully prepared for production by Q4 2026
  • Build strong routines, solve problems early, create momentum, and make sure the team is ready to excel

Requirements

  • Strong production leadership experience in food, fermentation, or a related manufacturing environment
  • At least five years leading teams in production
  • Experience with commissioning, scale-up, or start-up environments would be a major advantage
  • A technical or engineering background is highly valued
  • Solid understanding of GMP, food safety, and regulatory expectations
  • Comfortable coaching leaders, managing performance, driving continuous improvement
