Amentum is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Site Manager to drive our preventive maintenance programs and optimize our facility operations. You will be responsible for managing substantial budgets, supervising critical infrastructure repairs, and implementing sustainable practices that reduce costs while maintaining the highest standards of safety. Job Responsibility

  • Strategic Planning and System Optimization
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM) Excellence: Develop, implement, and audit comprehensive PM programs to extend the lifecycle of critical assets and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Lifecycle Asset Management: Monitor the condition and performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to lead long-term capital replacement planning
  • Process Automation: Leverage facility management software (CMMS) to streamline work order workflows, improve response times, and track maintenance KPIs
  • Operational Oversight: Perform routine walk downs of job activities to ensure all safety protocols and quality expectations are being met
  • Infrastructure Reliability: Direct the daily maintenance, repair, and improvement of all building systems, including HVAC, fire/life safety, and power distribution
  • Vendor and Contract Management: Source, negotiate, and manage third-party service contracts, ensuring all external partners meet strict safety and quality standards
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the facility remains in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and maintain a high standard of workplace safety
  • Financial and Resource Management
  • Budgetary Stewardship: Manage the facilities O&M (Operations & Maintenance) budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities through energy efficiency and strategic sourcing
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a multidisciplinary team of technicians and staff, providing technical mentorship, performance evaluations, and ongoing safety training
  • Resource Allocation: Analyze facility data and utility trends to optimize resource consumption and support corporate sustainability goals
  • Customer Focused: Maintaining and understanding the partnership with the client and keeping a positive client relationship

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Facility Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. Eight years of experience in industrial Facilities Maintenance related work will be considered demonstrated equivalent in experience with no education
  • In addition to education, 5+ years of facility operations/maintenance experience including facility operations/maintenance supervisory experience in a technical field
  • Working knowledge of purchasing and/or utilizing and managing subcontracts or vendors
  • Experience utilizing CMMS and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and giving presentations in front of large audiences
  • Staff management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, terminating, and performance appraisals
  • Experience in creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results
  • Consistent demonstration of the ability to proactively identify potential problems or opportunities, analyze issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the optimum approach to mitigate problems or leverage opportunities
  • Predictive maintenance experience, including areas such as infrared scanning, ultrasonic, vibration and oil analysis, testing, life cycle studies, incident reports, root cause analysis and/or additional data gathering programs
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Experience in new business start-ups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Certification or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE, or BOMA
  • Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment
