Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freelance Site Manager to lead a brand-new apartment development in Crewe. If you have a strong track record of delivering multi-story residential projects on time and to the highest safety and quality standards, we are looking for a reliable contractor to take the helm of this site for the duration of the build.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring the construction programme stays on track
  • Coordinating and managing all subcontractors, direct labour, and site personnel
  • Enforcing strict Health & Safety protocols, conducting site inductions, and ensuring full compliance with current legislation
  • Overseeing quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure high-specification finishes across all apartment units and communal areas
  • Managing logistics, material deliveries, and site access in a busy residential area
  • Chairing site meetings and providing regular progress reports to the Contracts Manager
  • Driving the project through the snagging process to achieve successful and timely handovers

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager specifically on new build apartment/multi-story residential projects
  • Valid SMSTS certificate
  • Current First Aid at Work certification
  • CSCS Black Card (Manager)
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering a defect-free product
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive subcontractors
