This is a high-impact opportunity to assume full control as Site Manager on a major, high-end Senior Living project, driving it to a successful, high-quality finish. Your expertise will be critical in managing all stages of construction, from complex structural works and cladding to detailed internal fit-out and final client handover. This role grants you complete site ownership, challenging you to lead the on-site team, coordinate specialist trades, and maintain the company's reputation for excellence.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and oversee the entire project lifecycle, from commencement through to final commissioning
Coordinate and manage all trade contractors, ensuring strict adherence to specifications and safety standards
Conduct detailed site inductions, onboarding subcontractors to client-specific standards (including FFE, disability access, and detailed layouts)
Develop and maintain detailed, workable construction programs
Perform rigorous site inspections and testing in line with BCA standards
Champion all OH&S protocols, ensuring meticulous documentation and compliance
Maintain daily site reports and serve as the primary liaison with the client and project stakeholders
Proactively identify and resolve construction issues to mitigate risk and keep the project on schedule
Requirements:
3+ years of proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Foreman with an Australian Head Contractor
Specific experience on remedial, residential, or commercial projects, with a strong preference for Aged Care/Senior Living experience
A trade qualification in Carpentry or Joinery is essential
Strong leadership capabilities and exceptional communication skills
A track record of maintaining high standards, strong problem-solving abilities, and a professional, composed presence under pressure
A positive, results-driven attitude that fosters a high-performing site environment
Ideally, strong local knowledge and residency in the Newcastle area
