Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for Energy Projects to oversee and coordinate on-site activities for our solar installations. The successful candidate will ensure project goals are met on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise daily activities at the project site, ensuring efficient and timely progress
  • Manage on-site teams, including fitters, electricians, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring all workers adhere to industry and company standards
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure that installations meet technical specifications, quality standards, and client expectations
  • Manage on-site resources, including materials, tools, and equipment, to avoid delays
  • Provide regular updates to project managers on progress, challenges, and resolutions
  • Address and resolve on-site issues, from equipment malfunctions to team coordination challenges
  • Act as the on-site representative for the client, inspectors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience as a fitter, installer, or technician in solar projects or a similar industry
  • Experience in managing large-scale solar installations is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with solar PV systems, mounting structures, and electrical components
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for installation
  • Understanding of basic electrical systems and mechanical principles
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely
  • English language skills are considered an advantage
  • Active Driving License – cat. B
  • Motivation and willingness to work with new technologies
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
