Job Description

The responsibilities of this management position include developing cleaning plans, training, and assisting team members in their daily responsibilities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all team members stay on task and completes all assignments to ServiceMaster standards. To be successful in this role, you will be trained to have a good grasp of the basics of cleaning and healthy team management.

Job Responsibility

  • Hiring and training cleaners on ServiceMaster’s standards, products, processes, and procedures
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a positive attitude and set an example for the overall team climate including being in uniform, being on time, and being dependable
  • Oversees and helps with cleaning construction areas
  • Oversees cleaning performance and ensures all assignments are completed in accordance with a set task schedule
  • Train cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts
  • Perform inspections and give constructive performance feedback to team members
  • Assign shifts and make the necessary adjustment in case of call-outs or no shows
  • Respond to customer complaints and requests in a timely and caring manner
  • Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA regulations
  • Follow PPE and safety rules at all times
  • Have the ability to have team work safely around active construction

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in commercial cleaning, we will consider comparable experiences
  • Must be able to communicate in English. Being bilingual is a plus
  • Must have a Valid Drivers' license with a safe record and insurance
  • A drug test and background check will be completed prior to hiring
  • Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, and reaching forward. Must be able to lift and/or carry 25 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Prefer experience in carpet cleaning, strip and wax and other floor work
  • Being bilingual is a plus
