Job Description

Airswift is seeking a Site Lifting Supervisor to work on an outsourced contract (2 years), in Suriname, with a major Oil & Gas Company. The role provides the on-site experience necessary to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient lifting operations, in accordance with the company's HSE standards and international lifting requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Support daily lifting and moving operations on land, in yards, berths, and other company facilities
  • Provide on-site experience to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient lifting operations
  • Daily supervision and technical oversight of all lifting and handling activities on site
  • Reviewing and approving complex lift plans and attending critical lifts
  • Inspecting and validating lifting appliances, rigging gear, forklifts, cranes, CCUs, and equipment condition/fitness for purpose
  • Conducting road transportation safety spot checks
  • Reporting unsafe acts/conditions, tracking KPIs, and providing regular operational and HSE reporting
  • Supporting audits, reviewing lifting procedures, maintaining up to date lifting documentation
  • Assessing personnel competence, providing coaching/mentoring, and contributing to training plans
  • Advising Logistics Operations on safety best practices, preparing JSAs, conducting inspections, and supporting internal/3rd-party audits

Requirements

  • Certifications: LEEA / EAL / CPA / OPITO
  • Advanced/fluent English required
  • Extensive experience in lifting projects and operations
  • Knowledge of handling and operating lifting equipment
  • Experience in offshore operations in the oil and gas industry with heavy lifting (Subsea, Drilling...)
