Job Description

We’re Centrick — residential property experts with a clear mission: to make lives better, every day. Since 2005, we’ve grown into a nationwide business with a global reach, managing buildings and estates of all shapes and sizes. From property management, sales, and lettings to on-the-ground services like cleaning, caretaking, and maintenance — we deliver quality, end-to-end solutions. With our headquarters in central Birmingham and teams across the UK, we’re powered by dedicated professionals working collaboratively across operations, marketing, finance, and beyond. We reinvest in our people, technology, and culture to drive continuous improvement and long-term impact — for our clients, customers, and communities.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess property conditions, identify hazards, and report maintenance issues
  • Carry out fire door inspections in compliance with fire safety regulations, documenting findings and necessary remedial actions
  • Perform mid-term tenancy inspections, checking property condition, tenant compliance, and ensuring safety standards are upheld
  • Complete health and safety inspections, including fire risk management, emergency lighting checks, and other compliance-related audits
  • Identify, document, and escalate issues related to fire safety, security, damp/mould, and general property condition
  • Liaise with contractors, property managers, and safety teams to ensure remedial actions are taken efficiently
  • Maintain detailed reports and records for compliance tracking and audit purposes
  • Provide clear recommendations for improvements and follow up on outstanding actions
  • Assist with compliance documentation and regulatory reporting where necessary

Requirements

  • Previous experience in property inspections, fire safety assessments, or building compliance is desirable
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations, building safety compliance, and lettings standards is an advantage
  • Fire Door Inspection certification (or willingness to obtain it) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and report safety risks effectively
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to multiple sites across an agreed region

What we offer

  • Time to Recharge: 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Future Security: Enhanced pension scheme based on role
