We are currently partnering with a Canadian civil engineering consultancy that specializes in high-impact public sector infrastructure and municipal upgrades. Our client is a locally owned, ISO 45001 and COR™ certified firm known for their commitment to safety and operational excellence. Since their founding, their multidisciplinary team has successfully delivered over 100 public projects across Ontario, including complex road reconstructions and large-scale watermain and sewer rehabilitations. This is an opportunity to join a growing, full-service firm that utilizes innovative technologies to provide sustainable, cost-sensitive solutions for municipal partners. This role is a Site Inspector / Contract Administration mix so the opportunity to learn and grow within the Contract Administration space exists.
Job Responsibility:
Perform rigorous field inspections for the construction of roads, storm/sanitary sewers, watermains, and stormwater management facilities
Verify that all grading and installation work aligns perfectly with design drawings, municipal specifications, and provincial standards
Maintain precise daily records of site conditions, field measurements, and work progress while tracking construction quantities
Assist with contract administration duties, including facilitating site meetings and preparing formal meeting minutes with contractors
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant combination of education and hands-on field experience
C.E.T. certification (or eligibility) is considered a strong asset
Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil construction, with a solid understanding of heavy equipment safety and tender documents
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel to various site locations
