The role sits within the engineering and development phases of a key carbon capture project, providing on-site support to ensure safety management systems are effectively implemented and continuously improved.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the development, management, and improvement of the site safety management system during project phases
  • Drive health, safety, and environmental awareness through engagement and workforce training initiatives
  • Conduct inspections, monitor subcontractor activities, and ensure equipment compliance
  • Manage risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis, and safe work practices
  • Oversee Permit to Work systems and controls for hazardous materials
  • Report HSE performance, track key performance indicators, and support investigations as required
  • Promote environmental compliance and drive on-site sustainability initiatives

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in HSE or an engineering-related field, such as NEBOSH diploma
  • Significant experience within the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in onshore projects with exposure to construction design regulation and survey/investigation activities
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification
  • Strong knowledge of HSE systems and best practices in complex engineering environments
  • Excellent communication and workforce engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and promote a safety-first culture on site
