This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures on project sites to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. You will be responsible for conducting daily safety inspections, preparing risk assessments and safety documentation, and coordinating with local authorities on health and safety matters. This role is key in promoting a safe work environment by identifying hazards, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. This role requires strong knowledge of Indonesian safety regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with project teams to resolve safety issues effectively. Promote a culture of safety and continuously improve health and safety performance. They will be required to conduct: deliver inductions, briefings & training, perform audits, investigate incidents, and engage with stakeholders to promote a safe working environment.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and monitor high-risk activities on site, including lifting operations, work at height, hot works, electrical work, and material deliveries
Conduct regular safety inspections of work areas, machinery, tools, and safety equipment to ensure compliance with Indonesian HSE regulations
Identify unsafe acts or conditions and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions
Immediately stop unsafe work activities and escalate issues to management as required
Liaise with relevant Indonesian authorities regarding workplace health and safety matters
Provide timely advice to the project and senior management on relevant legal and regulatory updates
Ensure adherence to ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) requirements
Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure safety messages are effectively communicated to all workers
Deliver safety inductions for new workers and subcontractors, including guidance on: Safe work procedures, PPE use, Emergency response protocols
Work closely with the project team to promptly address any health and safety issues
Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties
Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures
Requirements:
A diploma or Degree in Environmental or Occupational Health, recognised in Indonesia
Minimum 3 years of experience as a site safety coordinator in the construction industry, preferably within data centre projects
Certified Ahli K3 Umum
Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant Indonesian statutory regulations
Computer-literate with proficiency in common office tools
