Job Description

Site Foreman – Wolgast Corporation is seeking Site Foreman for various projects in Michigan. Job Responsibilities – responsible for supervising activities of workers involved in site work preparation (excavation, grading, installation of underground utilities (storm, water, and sanitary piping) and foundations). Monitor estimated labor costs for job assignments. Performs hands-on work as time allows. Interprets specifications and blueprints to ensure accuracy of construction. Prepares worker, subcontractor and equipment schedules. Attends job meetings and reports field activities. Prepares field reports including, but not limited to, time and material reports, employee time records, various cost sheets, work schedules, equipment schedules and use reports and other similar reports. Plans for completion of the project within or under the prescribed time frame. Performs weekly employee safety training and job site safety audits with required reporting. Plans for and maintains safety on the job site. Interprets and enforces procedural systems. Trains new workers and assists workers. Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of site work experience with at least two years supervisory experience. Working knowledge of construction methods. Possess a general knowledge of construction activities, scheduling, equipment and methods plus hands-on experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings related to site preparation and utilities. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other safety standards. Work with precise accuracy. Follow and give specific directions. Ability to supervise and evaluate worker performance. Other requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in basic computer applications and construction management software is a plus. Travel requirements: At times, must stay overnight from one to five nights a week. Valid Drivers License.
