Site Foreman

• Supervising activities of workers involved in site work preparation (excavation, grading, installation of underground utilities (storm, water, and sanitary piping) and foundations)
• Monitor estimated labor costs for job assignments
• Performs hands-on work as time allows
• Interprets specifications and blueprints to ensure accuracy of construction
• Prepares worker, subcontractor and equipment schedules
• Attends job meetings and reports field activities
• Prepares field reports including, but not limited to, time and material reports, employee time records, various cost sheets, work schedules, equipment schedules and use reports and other similar reports
• Plans for completion of the project within or under the prescribed time frame
• Performs weekly employee safety training and job site safety audits with required reporting
• Plans for and maintains safety on the job site
• Interprets and enforces procedural systems
• Trains new workers and assists workers

• Minimum of 5 years of site work experience with at least two years supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of construction methods
• Possess a general knowledge of construction activities, scheduling, equipment and methods plus hands-on experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings related to site preparation and utilities
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other safety standards
• Work with precise accuracy
• Follow and give specific directions
• Ability to supervise and evaluate worker performance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and construction management software is a plus
• Travel requirements: At times, must stay overnight from one to five nights a week
• Valid Drivers License
