Kinsley Construction is seeking a Site Estimator to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. The Site Estimator plays a crucial role in our project development process, providing accurate cost estimates and supporting our mission to deliver outstanding construction projects to our clients. As a Site Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating project plans, conducting site visits, analyzing data, and preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of construction processes and materials. Job Responsibility:

  • Project Assessment: Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements
  • Site Visits: Conduct on-site visits to gather information about existing conditions, potential challenges, and opportunities
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses
  • Cost Analysis: Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to enhance project profitability
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure that cost estimates align with project goals and client expectations
  • Bid Proposals: Prepare competitive bid proposals for prospective clients and participate in bid review processes
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and build relationships with key industry partners
  • Cost Tracking: Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, comparing actual costs to estimated costs and making necessary adjustments
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, materials, and construction methods to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil construction estimating
  • Experience working in HCCS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
