Job Description

Randstad have an exciting opportunity for a Freelance Site Engineer / setting out engineer to work on a Rail Project in Cardiff, Wales for 1 year plus. You will be working on Civils, with Buildings/Architecture elements. Rate is inside IR35- Circa £400-420 a day DOE.

Job Responsibility

  • Set out lines and levels using Total Stations and GPS
  • Interpret 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models to extract accurate coordinate data
  • QA - Conducted as-built surveys and quality checks to ensure construction met design tolerances
  • Liaison with site agents, subcontractors, and engineers to resolve technical queries and design clashes
  • Maintained strict adherence to site health, safety, and environmental regulations

Requirements

  • Rail experience is necessary
  • PTS is ideal but not essential
  • Set out lines and levels using Total Stations and GPS
