Site Engineer - Major Infrastructure (FRP). The Opportunity: Randstad Melbourne are partnered with a busy contractor delivering a major FRP package to a Tier 1 consortium on the North East Link Project. This role will suit a Site Engineer coming from the head contractor / sub contractor that has key experience delivering big build concrete structures packages at least $15 million+.
Job Responsibility:
Support all quality reviews and compliance conducting ITP's (pre-pour, during pour, post-pour) & NCR's
Monitor progress of works and support the PM to track costs
Attending daily "toolbox" meetings with the Tier 1 representatives to coordinate shared site resources like tower cranes or site access ramps
Writing and enforcing Safe Work Method Statements specifically for high-risk FRP activities
Measuring the "volume of work done" (e.g., tonnes of steel fixed, m³ of concrete poured) to ensure the sub-contractor gets paid correctly
Managing site layouts so that people aren't working directly under active concrete buckets or rebar lifts
Administer project documentation, including progress reports and cost tracking with the PM/Supervisor support
Proactively identify risk and solve challenges that arise on-site
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably within the civil or infrastructure sector on major FRP structures packages
Current RIW card
Strong technical knowledge of concrete structures, temporary structures, retaining walls and piling construction
