Site Engineer role within the Energy division, assisting with the delivery of renewable energy projects in a Civils based environment throughout Scotland. The role involves overseeing all aspects of on-site engineering of assigned projects, reporting to the Project Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Health & Safety implementation
Carrying out all aspects of on-site engineering from design checks, take offs, setting out and quality control throughout the project lifecycle
Producing, maintaining and amending site documents
Writing and preparing site paperwork including construction phase plans, works package plans, method statements, task briefings, risk assessments and site permits
Managing the production of site quality documents e.g. ITPs and quality checklists etc
Attending pre-start and contract meetings
Managing sub-contractors (programme and compliance)
Involvement in delivery of multiple sites at any one time (where appropriate)
Client liaison which involves providing reports and progress meetings
Document control via Story Contracting web-based portal
Keeping contemporaneous records of project costs within your control
Requirements:
Valid CSCS card
Full driving licence
Full First Aid certified
CAT & Genny trained
Qualified to degree level in civil engineering or HNC / HND
Competent in carrying out all aspects of site setting out, engineering and surveying utilising various setting out equipment
Working knowledge of IT systems, specifically Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in creating WPP, TB, Permit to Dig, ITPs
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
Willingness to work weekends, shift work and work away from home
Nice to have:
Preferred working knowledge of AutoCAD
SMSTS 5 Day Site Safety certified
