Job Description

As a Site Contracts Negotiator I at ICON, you will support the review and negotiation of clinical trial agreements and budgets under the guidance of senior colleagues. You will help ensure contracts are executed accurately and efficiently to support timely study start-up.

Job Responsibility

  • Drafting and reviewing site contracts using approved templates, under supervision from senior team members or leads
  • Supporting contract and budget negotiations with sites, escalating complex issues as needed
  • Tracking contract status, timelines, and key milestones in designated systems and trackers
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather required information and align on contract terms
  • Ensuring contract documentation is complete, accurate, and filed in accordance with SOPs
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the site contracts team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, business, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Initial experience in contracts, legal support, clinical research, or administration is preferred
  • Basic understanding of contract terms and interest in developing negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple documents and timelines
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach
  • Willingness to learn site contracting processes, systems, and industry requirements

  • Provide context to comments received from sites in light of local legal and business framework, common practices, and past negotiation experience for the purpose of further review up the decisioning chain
  • Apply and scrutinize site contract and related documents and their revisions against negotiation and budget parameters (as applicable)
  • Ensure final documents comply with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including ICH – GCP
  • Ensure the best interest of both clients and Parexel are met
  • Serves as key communication liaison between site contracts staff and internal and external customers. Provides functional guidance and keeps internal and external teams aware of all contract statuses or pending issues. Prepares correspondence as necessary.
  • Manage the contract execution process, including obtaining required signatures and ensuring timely execution of the document by all parties
