Job Responsibility

Asses, segregate and batch up waste
Provide laboratory and analytical support for all site operations
Analysing and test all incoming waste and outgoing waste streams
Ensure all waste is correctly labelled and documented
Contribute to site health and safety standards by using the correct PPE at all times
Work closely with site operatives to ensure the safe and efficient processing, storage, and transfer of waste
Co-operate with site management in improving the plants operational standards

Job Responsibility

Receiving and checking chemical waste on site, ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria and environmental legislation
Completing and verifying all associated paperwork for incoming waste
Controlling waste streams across the plant to avoid delays or backlogs
Immediate testing of incoming waste using techniques such as pH, flash point, visual checks, odour, viscosity and test strips
Supporting safe, compliant and efficient processing, storage and transfer of waste
Bulking and re‑packing waste to maximise site efficiency and profitability
Supervising, planning and prioritising day‑to‑day activities of Transfer Station Operatives (Managing Chemist)
Providing leadership to site chemists and operatives, promoting a collaborative and high‑performance environment (Managing Chemist)
Ensuring site operations meet regulatory standards and internal quality expectations (Managing Chemist)
Acting as a technical escalation point within the team (Managing Chemist)
