Job Description:

Morson is recruiting for an experienced Site Agent with a strong background in Earthworks and Drainage to support delivery across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. This contract opportunity is based in Calvert and offers the chance to play a key leadership role on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for supporting construction strategy, managing engineering teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the development and implementation of construction strategy
  • Lead kick-off meetings and oversee pre-commencement documentation including: Method Statements, Environmental & Quality Plans, Construction programmes, Procurement schedules, Design deliverable schedules
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and temporary works alongside the Agent and Section Foreman
  • Manage and mentor the Site Engineering team, including performance and development of Site and Section Engineers
  • Ensure construction activities meet contractual, safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards
  • Contribute to: Programme development and progress reporting, Resource and cost planning, Financial forecasting, Site measurement and material reconciliations, Cost control

Requirements:

  • HNC or Degree in Construction / Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Site Engineering activities and construction supervision
  • Proven experience in Earthworks and/or Drainage
  • Valid CSCS Card (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional – 6 months)
  • SMSTS Certificate
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
