This role sits within the Asset Management & Compliance Programme, specifically focusing on the high-profile Q6 Cladding works within the Main CTA Tunnel. You will be part of an integrated team ensuring the airport’s most vital transport arteries meet stringent regulatory and safety standards while remaining operational. The Agent is responsible for the day-to-day management and technical excellence of the Q6 cladding package. You will lead the day-shift team to ensure seamless preparation for nightly installation windows, managing subcontractor performance and deconflicting complex engineering challenges with stakeholders, including the Principal Contractor, design teams and clients.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all on-site engineering activities to ensure total compliance with design specifications and Heathrow standards
Manage subcontractors and shift engineers, maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and the project programme
Manage the handover engineer which is primary link between day-shift planning and night-shift execution, ensuring the night team is fully briefed and equipped to deliver within 4-5 hour tunnel closure windows
Draft and review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and ensure all health, safety, and environmental protocols are strictly followed
Lead short-term programming, monitor progress against the master schedule, and proactively report any deviations or risks to the Project Manager
Collaborate with the Client, designers, and third-party stakeholders to resolve technical queries and drive _One Team_ integration
Requirements:
Strong foundation in Civil or Structural Engineering
Proven track record in complex infrastructure projects (Tunnels, Highways, or Rail)
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply problem-solving skills in a live operational environment
Exceptional leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage diverse multidisciplinary teams
Valid CSCS card and relevant H&S qualifications (e.g., SMSTS)
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and change management processes

Previous experience working airside or within the Heathrow Airport environment
