This is a brilliant long-term contract opportunity (12 months+) for a rail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a dynamic leader capable of balancing subcontractor management with hands-on self-delivery teams. The scope of work is diverse, covering everything from heavy civils and structural steelwork to complex MEP lift and escalator installations.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations for AFA schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Network Rail standards

  • Review, update, and implement Work Package Plans (WPPs), Task Briefing Sheets (TBS), and Risk Assessments (RAMS)
  • Act as the primary point of contact on-site for the client (Network Rail), station stakeholders, and third-party authorities

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Site Agent or experienced Sub Agent within a Network Rail environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of Station AFA schemes, civils, structural steel, or lift/shaft installations
  • Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) card is essential
  • SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant NVQ or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Deep understanding of Network Rail standards, line blockages, and possessions

What we offer

  • Guaranteed 12+ months of continuous work on a secure framework
  • Centered in the Oxford area with excellent transport links
  • Prestige of delivering critical accessibility infrastructure that makes a tangible difference to public transport users
