Job Description:

Randstad is urgently hiring a skilled Clamp Forklift Operator to join a major appliance distribution center in Southeast Calgary. Starting at $21.00 per hour, this isn't just a 'temp job'—it’s a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for an operator looking to build a long-term career. In this role, you won't be using standard forks; you will be operating a forklift with a specialized clamp attachment designed to move large household appliances like fridges, washers, and stoves. If you have experience in shipping and receiving and know how to handle 'big and bulky' freight without a scratch, we want to put you to work immediately. We are looking for a reliable pro who thrives in a fast-paced dock environment and is ready for a stable, Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely operate a Sit-Down Forklift with a Clamp Attachment to move appliances
  • Load and unload trailers, ensuring products are handled gently to avoid damage
  • Perform Shipper/Receiver duties, including verifying paperwork and manifests
  • Stack and stage large appliances (fridges, stoves, washers) in the correct zones
  • Use RF scanners to update inventory and process incoming shipments

Requirements:

  • Valid Forklift Certification with proven experience using Clamp attachments
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Shipping/Receiving or Distribution role
  • Experience handling appliances or 'Big & Bulky' freight is highly preferred
  • Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots and a reliable way to get to SE Calgary

Nice to have:

Experience handling appliances or 'Big & Bulky' freight

What we offer:
  • $21.00 per hour with weekly pay and 4% vacation pay
  • High potential to transition from a temporary role to a permanent employee
  • Monday to Friday day shifts—enjoy your weekends off
  • Transit-friendly site in Southeast Calgary
