Randstad is looking for an experienced Night Forklift Operator to run the dock for a top transportation company in Southeast Calgary. Paying $22.00 to $23.00 per hour, this is a stable, long-term role where you'll be working independently to keep LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight moving smoothly. Your regular shift will be 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM (please note: you must be available for initial training during the afternoon shift). If you have a valid forklift ticket, know your way around a busy dock, and love the quiet autonomy of the night shift, you are exactly who we are looking for. Job Responsibility:
Safely operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift to move LTL freight across the dock
Load and unload various types of trailers, ensuring weight distribution is balanced
Work independently to prioritize shipments based on departure times
Scan and track freight using handheld devices to maintain 100% inventory accuracy
Identify and report any damaged goods before they are loaded for transport
Maintain a clean and organized dock floor to ensure a safe transition for the morning crew
Requirements:
Valid Forklift Ticket/Certification (Required)
Must be available for afternoon training before moving to the regular night shift
1–2 years of experience operating a Sit-Down Counterbalance forklift
Must have CSA-approved steel-toed boots and high-visibility gear
Nice to have:
Previous experience with LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight is a major asset
