Job Description:

An exciting opportunity for a Grade C fee earner / paralegal within the Serious Injuries Team. This is a chance to be part of a growing department, within a market-leading firm. The cases in SIT are challenging but rewarding, supporting seriously injured clients to rebuild their lives and securing them compensation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a case load of up to 40 pre-litigated and litigated SIT multi-track & intermediate track files
  • Running your own files from inception right through to settlement
  • Assisting the Grade A solicitors upon their high value/catastrophic files with certain delegated tasks
  • Providing guidance to the case assistant(s) within SIT
  • Providing support and assistance via the Case Clinics to other case handling areas across the wider business
  • Attending on-going training and providing feedback
  • Contributing to internal training for other departments
  • Achieving Targets (time and financial)
  • Supporting Grade A fee earners
  • Mentoring Grade D case assistants
  • Supporting the wider firm/other departments through clinics and training
  • Attending marketing events, both internal and external
  • Mentoring handlers in other areas of the business

Requirements:

  • Prior case handling experience in personal injury is essential
  • Previous experience of running Part 7 claims is essential
  • Previous experience in handling multi-track litigation / working in serious injuries team is highly desirable but not essential
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks
