An exciting opportunity for a Grade C fee earner / paralegal within the Serious Injuries Team. This is a chance to be part of a growing department, within a market-leading firm. The cases in SIT are challenging but rewarding, supporting seriously injured clients to rebuild their lives and securing them compensation.
Job Responsibility:
Managing a case load of up to 40 pre-litigated and litigated SIT multi-track & intermediate track files
Running your own files from inception right through to settlement
Assisting the Grade A solicitors upon their high value/catastrophic files with certain delegated tasks
Providing guidance to the case assistant(s) within SIT
Providing support and assistance via the Case Clinics to other case handling areas across the wider business
Attending on-going training and providing feedback
Contributing to internal training for other departments
Achieving Targets (time and financial)
Supporting Grade A fee earners
Mentoring Grade D case assistants
Supporting the wider firm/other departments through clinics and training
Attending marketing events, both internal and external
Mentoring handlers in other areas of the business
Requirements:
Prior case handling experience in personal injury is essential
Previous experience of running Part 7 claims is essential
Previous experience in handling multi-track litigation / working in serious injuries team is highly desirable but not essential
Excellent time management skills
Ability to manage and prioritise tasks
