Job Description:

Sister - Charge Nurse at The Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon, part of Circle Health Group. Full time role for 37.5 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide hands-on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients
  • Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care
  • Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met
  • Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards
  • Promote compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, safeguarding, and other clinical governance priorities

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
  • Significant post-registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty
  • Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and coordination skills
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development
