Serves as a trusted medical education program resource, ensuring compliance with professional, rotational competency, and accreditation standards. Coordinates schedules, reviews curriculum, aids in program development, participates in recruitment, communicates with external agencies, assists with accreditation documentation, monitors compliance, maintains files, and processes program evaluations.
Job Responsibility:
Serves as an acknowledged and trusted medical education program resource
Tracks progress of individuals and programs to ensure standards are met
Prepares, coordinates, and disseminates schedules
Reviews and revises rotation, curriculum, and/or materials
Aids in development and auditing of program materials
Coordinates and participates in recruitment, evaluation, and/or selection process
Assists in communicating with external agencies
Helps program leader prepare required documentation for accreditation
Monitors compliance
Maintains files ensuring compliance
Processes and maintains program evaluations
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field
Typically requires 3 years of experience in program coordination and administrative support within a healthcare or educational environment
Knowledge and ability to plan for and manage program coordination and administrative activities of a training program
Knowledge of due process and remediation process of ACGME if working with residents and/or fellows
Knowledge of medico-legal issues, employment visas, and state/federal regulations
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organization, prioritization, and reading comprehension skills
Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
Proficient computer skills including experience in using computer applications and physician scheduling software
Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of terminology, principles, and methods utilized in training programs
Ability to monitor program expenses and advise the program director
