Job Description

In our central digitalization department for ECU development. We are looking for a Simulation Automation Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team of experts in simulation automation, CAD environment, software development, and DevOps. In our worldwide team you will cooperate very closely with colleagues in Germany. Your responsibility will be to support both, local projects in Hungary and global projects for the ME ECU development area. Our team operates in an agile setup.

Job Responsibility

  • Designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for a wide range of simulation tasks and workflows
  • Aligning on requirements and defining acceptance criteria with customers
  • Applying professional software development standards to create robust and scalable automation scripts and applications
  • Using Python to build solutions within a modern, professional deployment infrastructure
  • Operating within a development environment using Git for version control and code review
  • Supporting colleagues in simulation and reliability engineering in creating Python-based web applications, including code reviews, support in deployment, code optimization and trainings

Requirements

  • Python and object-oriented programming fundamentals
  • Experience specifying and designing software to meet defined requirements using established design patterns and principles (e.g., for testability, re-use) and familiarity with documenting designs using techniques like UML
  • Experience with collaborative code development using GitHub (pull requests, merges) and project tracking with Jira
  • Knowledge of simulation software/methods and their scripting interfaces (e.g., for Ansys: pyAnsys, ACT, APDL)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for automating builds, tests, and deployments
  • Knowledge of on-premise simulation infrastructure (Windows Server, HPC, license management) and cloud instances
  • Basic knowledge of data models and experience with interfaces to data systems like Windchill, SPDM, Mongo DB, ePLM, or SAP
  • Sufficient knowledge of security concepts to support the development process and contribute to security-related decisions and reviews
  • Independent acquisition of new technologies/skills, eagerness to learn
