Job Responsibility:

  • Oversees all training functions of the SP workforce (80-120 individuals) including onboarding, role portrayal training, and assessment requirements
  • Collaborates with education and content experts to develop, implement, and evaluate SP specific curriculum. Ensuring simulation best practices are followed and SPs are advocated for
  • Facilitates SP events, ensuring quality of portrayals by actors, providing real-time feedback as appropriate, and leading post event SP debriefs
  • Assist simulation team with hybrid sessions by supporting SPs and collaborate with SP Coordinator to ensure events are efficient and successful
  • Ensures that simulation needs are addressed including supporting gaps in SP coverage as appropriate. This may include acting as a simulated participant in a simulation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, simulation, or theatre performance/technical or communication degree preferred
  • Two years of experience as a simulated participant in healthcare simulation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable with a range of virtual platforms and Microsoft Office products
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Time management and organization will be essential in this role
  • Ability to mentor others
  • Ability to work independently and in complex team situations
  • This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
  • Exposed to a normal office environment
  • Able to work a flexible schedule that occasionally includes evening and weekend assignments
  • This position requires some lifting to 25 lbs, walking, and standing
