Job Description:

Simon Research Fellowships are offered for research in the Social Sciences, including Law and Education. Hallsworth Fellowships are offered in the area of Political Economy, and Chinese Political Economy. We are looking to make appointments to five postdoctoral Fellowships in the area of Political Economy with an emphasis on projects designed to achieve high quality engaged and impactful research.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct research in the area of Political Economy with an emphasis on high quality engaged and impactful research
  • Identify and outline a route to relationship development with partners for future research funding
  • Take part in annual networking and cohort development activities
  • Complete a detailed annual project report and final report
  • Undertake a limited amount of teaching (max 5 hours per week) where opportunities are available

Requirements:

  • PhD awarded by the closing date for applications
  • Not more than three years post-PhD by the closing date for applications
  • Not hold nor have held a permanent university academic post
  • Demonstrated potential for research
  • Good fit with school research priorities
  • Discuss and develop application with relevant Discipline Area or Research Institute/Centre before submission
