SP Industries Inc. is expanding our team in Vineland, NJ and have an immediate opening for a Silkscreen Technician. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for preparing, decorating, and finishing laboratory glassware through silkscreening, decaling, sandblasting, and related production processes. This role ensures high-quality, consistent application of markings and finishes while adhering to established procedures and specifications. The position also provides support to laboratory testing activities to help verify product quality and compliance with applicable standards. Hours are Monday- Thursday on 1st Shift - 4/10s schedule.
Job Responsibility:
Perform silkscreening on laboratory glassware ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications
Prepare glassware for decoration through cleaning, waxing, etching, and lining processes
Execute line work and fill-in processes with precision to ensure high-quality finished products
Apply decals and complete jobs requiring both silkscreen and decal applications
provide backup support for decal operations
Perform sandblasting operations to prepare or finish glassware surfaces according to production requirements
Remove existing decals, coatings, or markings and prepare glassware for rework, including safe handling of acids
Inspect finished products for print quality, alignment, and overall appearance against established standards
Clean, maintain, and store silkscreens, tools, and equipment to ensure proper functionality
Coordinate ordering and replacement of screens and materials, collaborating with Engineering as needed
Maintain inventory of inks, chemicals, and production supplies required for daily operations
Support basic laboratory testing activities, including assisting with volumetric checks and quality verification
Set up and assist with testing processes and equipment
accurately record and maintain test data
Apply basic mathematical calculations (unit conversions, mass/volume relationships) to support evaluations and flag non-conforming results
Follow SOPs and safety requirements, maintain a clean work environment, and collaborate across teams to meet production and quality objectives
Requirements:
1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, silkscreening, laboratory, or related environment preferred
Experience working with glassware, chemicals, or precision-based processes is a plus
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to perform repetitive, precision-based tasks with consistent quality
Basic math skills, including unit conversions and measurement calculations
Ability to safely handle chemicals, including acids, in accordance with safety guidelines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Willingness to learn and support laboratory testing processes
