Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the primary program management interface between Meta's internal silicon engineering teams and external semiconductor partners across custom ASIC, SoC, and IP licensing engagements
  • Define and manage joint program schedules with silicon partners, tracking milestones from architecture definition through tape-out, bring-up, qualification, and mass production readiness
  • Identify, assess, and communicate program risks related to silicon partner execution, including design schedule slips, process technology readiness, and supply chain constraints
  • Collaborate with silicon architecture, design, and verification teams to translate internal technical requirements into partner deliverables and contractual commitments
  • Drive partner readiness reviews and executive-level status communications, synthesizing complex technical and operational data into clear, actionable updates for leadership
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment across hardware engineering, sourcing, legal, and operations teams to ensure silicon partner agreements and deliverables support product launch commitments
  • Develop and refine engagement models, escalation paths, and governance frameworks for managing multiple concurrent silicon partner relationships
  • Analyze tradeoffs across partner roadmap options, process node selections, and IP sourcing strategies to inform and influence internal decision-making
  • Track and report on partner performance metrics including schedule adherence, quality outcomes, and technical milestone completion to drive continuous improvement
  • Support negotiation of technical scopes of work and partnership agreements in collaboration with sourcing and legal counterparts

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in program management, technical partnership management, or engineering program management within the semiconductor or consumer electronics industry
  • Experience managing external silicon or semiconductor supplier relationships across multiple phases of chip development, including design, tape-out, bring-up, and qualification
  • Experience translating complex silicon engineering requirements into partner deliverables, schedules, and risk mitigation plans
  • Experience using data-driven approaches to track program health, identify execution gaps, and drive resolution across cross-functional teams
  • Experience communicating technical program status and tradeoffs to engineering and executive stakeholders through written and verbal formats

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience with custom ASIC or SoC development programs in the context of consumer hardware, AR/VR devices, or AI accelerator platforms
  • Track record of driving alignment between internal silicon roadmaps and external partner capabilities to meet product launch commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience managing silicon partnerships across geographically distributed teams and international suppliers
  • Familiarity with semiconductor process technology selection, IP licensing structures, and foundry engagement models
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
