Job Description:

This position is for a Bid Manager to own and lead the bid to create a long-term support proposal for the SIE system by following the Airbus ‘Maturity Gate’ process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and timely submission of the bid to the customer, including leading incremental workshops and presentations to both the MOI and BG to ensure Airbus considers the full set of requirements from the customers for the long-term support (15 years) of this important project.

Job Responsibility:

  • Bid Manager to lead the bid, create the strategy, structure the bid and pull all inputs together from the team
  • Support the Sales to develop competitive offer and pricing strategy based on a deep understanding of the competitive environment
  • Drive and challenge the internal multi-discipline Bid Team (Program line, Portfolio, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Legal, etc) with a strong customer driven approach to deliver On-Time and on-Quality winning and saleable offers
  • Perform overall bid management activities in compliance with the Airbus D&S process including but not limited to: Sales support, project risks management, lessons learnt analysis, ...
  • Supporting Programme / Contract & Commercial / Sales Departments during negotiation phase
  • Timeline is to have the basic proposal with both Technical and Commercial Proposals ready to go through the internal Airbus MG and RMC process steps by July next year (before the August holiday season)

Requirements:

  • English speaking is mandatory
  • Arabic speaking is strongly advised
  • Strong customer relationship management experience
  • Strong team player
  • Experienced Bid Manager with highly developed business, technical, analytical, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
  • Should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in either Bid or Campaign Management position/s in relatable industries / companies, in a senior position creating and pulling together a coherent bid in both technical/support and commercial areas
  • Strong Background in Project Management, with a positive track record of delivering to time, cost and schedule and a holder of a PM qualification preferred (PMP, APMP)
  • Should understand the type of business that SIE works within, highly technical and ideally with a good knowledge of integrated systems and Support and Maintenance
