Under general supervision, the Campus Shuttle Operator would be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of employees, students, or patients around the Medical District.
Job Responsibility:
Transports employees, students, and visitors to MUSC and areas within the assigned area of operations
Maintains administrative and operational logs including inspection forms, mileage logs, passenger counts, accident/incident reports, and training updates
Communicates effectively with passengers and customers regarding transportation schedules and services
Responsible for fueling and cleaning of the vehicle
Performs operator’s pre/post vehicle inspections and adds fluids as needed
Performs other duties as assigned including substituting for other drivers, quick rides, out of town travels (day trips)
Requirements:
A high school diploma
one year experience in truck driving, operating a crane or operating a motor vehicle
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license
Computer literacy
Ability to work overtime as required
CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement (preferred)
