Job Responsibility:

  • Manage engineering teams and contractors to achieve full compliance with statutory and operational requirements
  • Coordinate, plan, and oversee biannual planned maintenance for high-containment facilities
  • Chair stakeholder meetings throughout the shutdown process, ensuring clear communication and alignment at every stage

Requirements:

  • A City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Equivalent Engineering Qualification

  • Contribute to optimising and implementing effective Shutdown execution strategies for equipment maintained to achieve target availability and throughput
  • Review maintenance practices and optimise where appropriate
  • Ensure maintenance cost targets are met
  • Preparation and presentation of maintenance reports
  • Execute maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance activities are recorded consistently and accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide direct leadership and guidance to the Shutdown Coordinators, Supervisors and trades personnel, including personnel performance review and development
  • Ensure all Shutdown workshop facilities and equipment is maintained and in good working order
  • Providing clear instructions to Shutdown Coordinators regarding job allocation, job details, work methods timeframes and allow for adequate feedback
  • Demonstrate an understanding of PLS safety and environmental policies and maintain an understanding of the main principles
