Job Description:

As the Shutdown Maintenance Planner, you'll play a vital role in managing the upkeep and maintenance of our fixed plant operations. This role requires a meticulous and organised individual who is highly detail-oriented, efficient, and has proven experience in scheduling. Safety is a priority, ensuring it is integrated into all planned and scheduled work orders and during maintenance operations. This role is a permanent full-time position, on an 8D 6RR roster.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and coordination of site-wide maintenance activities during fixed plant shutdowns across all relevant facilities
  • Collection and management of asset data, as well as the development of structured shutdown maintenance processes for all systems and equipment
  • Crafting, implementing, and managing detailed shutdown plans, including resource allocation, sequencing, and contingency strategies
  • Handling both scheduled shutdown tasks and unexpected maintenance requirements, rapidly formulating action plans to address emergent repairs or issues during shutdown windows
  • Ensuring all shutdown and maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and site standards
  • Liaising with the maintenance team, contractors, and other stakeholders to build robust shutdown schedules and facilitate smooth execution
  • Proactively identifying potential risks and bottlenecks that could impact shutdown timelines and developing effective mitigation strategies
  • Prioritising work orders and tasks based on operational criticality and shutdown constraints
  • Regularly tracking, reporting, and analysing the progress and outcomes of shutdown maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • Experience in Pronto is desirable, however, other CMMS experience will be considered
  • Previous experience in Shutdown/Maintenance Planning, preferably in mineral processing plants
  • Proficient in scheduling using Microsoft Project
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Programs
  • experience with Computerised Maintenance Management System Pronto is essential
  • Trade certificate (advantageous but not essential)
  • Proven ability to plan multiple activities for remote areas with knowledge of logistical issues
  • Solid experience in maintenance planning in a remote mining or similar environment
  • High-level problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning philosophies and logistical challenges in remote areas
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with a proactive, collaborative approach
