Job Description:

Under the responsibility of the plant supervisor, the shunter of semi-trailer is the person responsible for trailer movements. He or she optimizes the entry and exit of trailers from factories and ensures their availability for loading.

Job Responsibility:

  • Move trailers around the yard safely and efficiently
  • Assist the team in loading and unloading trailers
  • Make local deliveries
  • Participate in teamwork between trips
  • Pick up trailers from different transport companies
  • Put the labels on the iron packages
  • Clear snow from trailers during the winter season
  • Load accessories, prefabricated elements, and inventory trips
  • Prepare accessories and trellises for transport
  • Perform various manual tasks (physical work)
  • Any other related tasks

Requirements:

  • Class 1 driver’s license
  • Experience in a similar position (an asset)
  • Have a good driving record
  • Good organizational skills
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Versatility

What we offer:
  • Fixed schedule over 3 days from Friday to Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – 36 hours paid as 40 hours
  • Double time after 45 hours
