Job Description:

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the scrap metal shredder and downstream processing systems. Oversees production, maintenance coordination, staffing, safety, and quality to ensure consistent throughput, minimal downtime, and compliance with all safety and environmental standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage daily shredder operations and downstream separation systems
  • Maximize uptime, throughput, recovery, and product quality
  • Coordinate maintenance and minimize unplanned downtime
  • Enforce safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead, train, and schedule shredder operators and support staff
  • Monitor KPIs, downtime, recovery, and operating costs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in scrap, recycling, or heavy industrial processing
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of shredder systems and material recovery
  • Safety-focused with strong leadership and troubleshooting skills
