Maintain Cleanliness In shop and shop equipment
Make sure mop buckets are changed at least dally, but check to see if they are especially dirty throughout the day
Regularly check in with technicians to see if there is anything specific that they need
Make sure you have already done the basic things in the shop before asking them if they have more (Mops, trash, oil room, clean tire, wheel and alignment machines etc)
If there is fluid on the floor, go ahead and grab a mop and clean it. Same goes for dirt or trash that is on the floor in the shop
Make sure used tires don't accumulate around the tire machine
Look for scrap metal that needs to be taken out
Make sure you ask technician about any parts or boxes before throwing out or recycling
Specifically, is the part a warranty part or can it be thrown away
Check for special tools that need to be put away, or if tool room needs to be cleaned

Job Responsibility

To participate in and to assist the Parts Manager in implementing all parts sales and marketing initiatives, as per the business plan and/or marketing calendar
To ensure the showroom (including displays and their contents) are being kept tidy and refreshed on an on-going basis to encourage customer browsing. This includes the proper pricing and display of all retail products and special offers, the display of the relevant posters, and ensuring the proper levels of cleanliness
To make the Parts Manager aware of any discrepancies regarding stocking levels, part numbers, buying and selling prices, bin locations, etc
To ensure that all items supplied to customers are invoiced correctly and in a timely manner
Maintain and nurture existing and prospective customer relationships
To serve customers in the depot shop with queries and sales, taking payment for goods
Maximise front counter and back counter trade and telephone sales. There may be a degree of online admin work with eBay and internet shop
Responsible for daily ordering of parts requested by customers (VORs) and be involved In discussions with parts manager to ascertain if an immobilised VOR order is required
Responsible for ordering of parts to maximise customer fill whilst considering stock turn, as to avoid VORs where possible (unless a customer request demands a VOR action)
To ensure all physical stock checks are carried out as per the stock check standard
