Job Responsibility:
Lead, motivate and manage the event sales team, including contractors where applicable, creating a high-performance culture built on clear goals and accountability
Own your personal sales targets across the event
Develop and execute a proactive new business strategy, driving fresh leads and new account acquisition for the team
Work closely with the Event Director to build and deliver a campaign strategy that exceeds targets across exhibitor numbers, stand sales, sponsorship revenue, yield and exhibitor mix
Keep a close eye on delivery, ensuring the sales plan stays on track, budgets are met, and activity targets, including outbound calls and face-to-face meetings, are consistently hit
Support your team in developing new and creative revenue streams, particularly in sponsorship and complex sales
Set clear, meaningful objectives for every member of your team and support their development along the way
Requirements:
Proven B2B sales experience with a strong track record of hitting and exceeding targets
Experience managing or leading a sales team, with a genuine passion for developing people
The ability to manage accounts across the full project cycle, building lasting relationships with clients
A sharp commercial mindset, you understand the numbers and know how to move them
Excellent communication skills, whether you are on the phone, in the room or presenting to a senior stakeholder
The resilience and drive to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
