Job Description:

This is an exciting, high-impact opportunity to lead omnichannel marketing and digital commerce strategy across Multiples, Discounters, Convenience and pureplay Online retailers. You will be the go-to lead for both shopper marketing and e-commerce account management, shaping IEF’s execution across bricks and mortar and retailer.com platforms. Reporting into the Director of Sales, you will collaborate across marketing, sales, category, supply chain, and agency partners to bring campaigns to life and deliver best-in-class customer engagement. You will also manage key online retail accounts directly, offering a rare hybrid of strategic brand activation and direct customer P&L responsibility. Job Responsibility:

  • Shopper Marketing Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement shopper activation plans across all key retail channels
  • Own the retailer.com execution strategy to support NPD, brand campaigns and core range performance
  • Deliver shopper plans aligned with category vision, brand strategy, and retailer priorities
  • Create disruptive, insight-led campaigns that drive shopper engagement and conversion
  • Customer Leadership & Strategic Partnerships: Build and strengthen multi-functional relationships with Top 4 UK grocery retailers
  • Anticipate retailer needs and category shifts, positioning IEF as a shopper thought leader
  • Secure and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and long-term growth strategies
  • E-commerce Account Management: Manage key online grocery accounts, driving commercial performance and account growth
  • Ensure brilliant basics across product listings, imagery, taxonomy, and availability
  • Analyse customer-level data and campaign results to optimise commercial return
  • Category & Commercial Growth Strategy: Work closely with category and commercial teams to optimise product mix and campaign alignment
  • Use analytics and insight to drive best-in-class shopper marketing performance
  • Lead NPD-focused initiatives and seasonal execution across digital platforms
  • Influence at the Highest Levels: Collaborate across sales, marketing, supply chain, and agency partners to deliver fully integrated execution
  • Engage senior customer contacts and internal stakeholders to align strategy and activation plans
  • Champion shopper-first thinking within the business and externally with retail partners

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in Shopper Marketing, Brand, Digital Commerce, or Retail Activation within FMCG or Food
  • Proven track record across Multiples, Discounters, Convenience, ROI, and Online Channels
  • Strong understanding of the full shopper journey and path to purchase across digital and physical retail
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data, insight, and campaign analysis to drive future strategy
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder, capable of managing internal stakeholders and agency partners
  • Hands-on project management experience, with the ability to work across multiple projects with pace and agility
  • Commercially aware, results-driven, and highly collaborative
