Job Description

At PPG, we partner with our customers and shoppers to create meaningful value and deliver winning solutions. As a Shopper Marketer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how our brands are brought to life across the shopper journey—ensuring best‑in‑class activation both in store and online. You’ll work within the Channel Marketing Team, collaborating with Brand, Digital and Sales teams to deliver insight‑led activation that helps drive visibility, conversion and growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning through insight‑driven planning, brings a creative approach to problem‑solving, and likes working with different teams in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll create impactful shopper moments that enhance the customer experience across every touchpoint. With strong executional focus and a passion for winning, you will continuously improve activation quality and commercial performance through innovative campaigns and using data to help guide decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute insight‑driven shopper marketing plans that align with brand and channel strategy
  • Create and execute tactical campaigns that attract and convert shoppers driving sales and profit across your areas of responsibility
  • Activate brand and Stockist account plans consistently - ensuring alignment between national brand strategy and Stockist account priorities
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and account teams to deliver tailored shopper marketing initiatives
  • Attend customer meetings, presenting proposals and updates with confidence
  • Ensure PPG brands are showcased consistently and to a high standard across Stockist digital platforms and physical environments
  • Create POS, promotional activity and launch materials that engage Stockists and appeal to end users
  • Support training events and engagement activity to build advocacy within the Stockist accounts and understanding of our brands
  • Collaborate with the Digital team to create engaging email campaigns that inform, inspire and drive action
  • Stay close to the market - monitoring competitors, evaluating in‑store execution, and identifying new opportunities
  • Track results, evaluate activation performance, and share insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Deliver timely Stockist account performance updates with clear recommendations and corrective actions
  • Manage A&P budgets for your accounts, ensuring effective and efficient investment
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and agencies to ensure timely, high‑quality project delivery
  • Support ad‑hoc marketing projects as required

Requirements

  • Some exposure to marketing or a commercial environment is a bonus but not essential
  • A proactive and positive ‘can‑do’ attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to use your own initiative to progress projects
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work well with different teams
  • Able to manage your time effectively and support multiple projects when needed
  • Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Willingness to work with external agencies and learn how to brief, coordinate and review work with them
  • A creative mindset paired with an interest in how marketing decisions support commercial outcomes
  • Comfortable sharing ideas and supporting presentations to customers as part of a wider team
  • Willingness to prepare customer‑facing materials such as slides, reports, concept mock‑ups or insight summaries
  • Ability to listen to customer feedback and help translate it into clear next steps for the team
  • Confidence growing over time in contributing to customer meetings and discussions
